In the heart of Toronto’s bustling King West strip, discreetly nestled in one of the city’s distinguished hundred-year-old buildings, stands The Spoke Club. Beyond its humble bricks-and-mortar heritage, The Spoke Club has evolved into a thriving meeting place where individuals with interests in media, entertainment, and the arts can converge.
Fifth Floor Rooftop
The Portland Room
An expansive space with natural light beaming in through numerous loft windows, the Second Floor is raw yet detailed, bright yet romantic, relaxing yet inspiring. This space houses all of your event ideas. With 2500 square feet of hardwood floor, there's more than enough space for you, your loved ones, peers and colleagues.
At 900 square feet, the gallery is a fantastic space for the presentation of art, photography and other special exhibitions. Open concept featuring luxurious hardwood floors, exposed brick and abundant natural light, Members often spend time lounging in this room perusing the artwork, or engaged in deep conversation with a friend. The Gallery also serves as a highly malleable space for Member-hosted private functions, featuring a discreetly located HD projector and drop-down screen for a variety of presentations.
The Screening Room
With high-definition projection, variable aspect ratios and THX digital surround sound, the Screening Room is a great place to see or preview films. While The Club makes use of this space for regular film screenings, this room is also available for private use by members. Formats available on site include 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and VHS (in both PAL and NTSC). Members are welcome to bring additional formats by prior arrangement. The room comfortably seats 15 people in armchairs, with footstools and side tables.
Running along the entire length of The Spoke Club façade, The Cellar is an elegant function space featuring a large, rustic harvest table, dramatic crystal chandeliers, and a view into our glass-front wine cellar along the full north wall of the room. Available to Members for sit down dinners or cocktail parties, The Cellar's picture windows overlook the bustling activity of the scenic King West strip.
The Members Lounge & Library
One of the most versatile spaces in the Club, the Members Lounge & Library serve a multitude of purposes. Acting as a mobile office space, a semi-private area for meetings, a place to have casual drinks or nibbles from any of our fantastic menus, a quiet spot to read, or enjoy impromptu conversation with friends, The Members Lounge is the central hub of The Spoke Club action.
The Dining Room
Have your business lunch while the sun shines through large gallery windows or enjoy a candlelight ambience for a sexier dinner affair, the Dining Room brings people together for any special moment. Open for lunch and dinner on weekdays, and dinner on Saturdays, this simple, yet elegant space can serve over 50 people with an array of seating options, including two large, plush banquettes overlooking the entire room.
The Private Dining Room
Perfectly ensconced next to the main Dining Room, the Private Dining Room offers a much more intimate dining experience. Our “Alice-in-Wonderland” light fixture will get the conversation started around the sizeable 12 person table. Doubling as a meeting space by day, this room also has a flat screen television and DVD player with laptop hook-ups for presentations.
The Glass House
A completely enclosed area on our impressive rooftop, the Glass House is a space where Members can enjoy our incredible panoramic views all-year round. A comfortable place to work or lounge, Members often grab a spot on the couch with friends, or pull up a chair to our beautiful marble bar to have a drink and shoot the breeze.
The North Rooftop
To describe this area as a Member favourite would be a major understatement. Resembling more of a garden than a patio, our North Rooftop acts as a social refuge offering great food, refreshing cocktails, good music and the occasional live performance.
The South Rooftop
To ensure our North Rooftop space is always available, we have the South Rooftop to serve our Members interested in hosting a private event outdoors. A smaller, quieter space, this area can be used for a variety of functions including cocktails parties and sit down dinners.
